Private testing · Singapore first

An AI mentor that teaches your child to think, not to copy.

Mentus AI gives each child a patient mentor you shape yourself. It asks the next good question instead of handing over the answer, and it never forgets to be kind first.

We are in private testing. Leave your email and we will invite you when it opens. No spam, just the invite.

  • No ads, ever
  • A report every Sunday

The difference

It will not just give the answer

Ask most chatbots a maths question and they solve it for your child. Mentus AI does the harder, more useful thing. When your child is wrong, it asks a smaller question or points at the method, and it only says well done when the answer is actually right. If your child is upset, it drops the lesson and is a person first. The aim is a child who can get there on their own next time.

  • Hints, not answers A wrong guess gets a smaller question, never the number.
  • Praise only when earned No hollow well done. It means it when it says it.
  • Human first If your child is upset, the lesson waits.

A real maths chat. The mentor nudges, it does not solve.

How it works

Set it up once, then read the Sunday report

  1. You set up the mentors

Pick subjects, choose a character for each, and tell it how to teach in your own words. A few minutes.

  2. Your child chats

They message their mentor by text, voice or a photo of a worksheet. It teaches by asking, not telling.

  3. You see the week

Every Sunday evening an AI written summary lands in your inbox: what they practised, what clicked, where they got stuck.

Meet the mentors

Five characters, one for each subject

Each mentor has its own subject, its own way of teaching, and its own personality. Here is who your child would meet.

  • Mdm Lim

    Mathematics

Precise and calm. A veteran Singapore teacher who slows right down until it clicks.

  • Ms. Quill

    English

Warm and direct. Reading, writing, and all the words in between.

  • Nova

    Science

Curious by nature. Starts with what you notice, then asks why.

  • Mr. Awesome

    Hindi

Cheeky and warm. Teaches in Hinglish and keeps it light.

  • Manka

    General knowledge

Playful wonder, like a cool older sibling. Not homework, just good questions.

Mandarin and Tamil mentors are on the way.

You are in control

You write the soul

Every other homework app hands your child the same chatbot. Mentus AI hands you the pen. A mentor's soul is how it teaches, how it talks, and anything you want it to keep in mind, and you shape it in plain language, with no settings maze. Describe the change you want, see a preview of how the mentor would sound, then apply it or discard it.

"Be a bit stricter on spelling, and slow right down on fractions."

That is the whole interface.
  1. Describe "Be a bit stricter on spelling, and slow down on fractions."
  2. Preview See exactly how the mentor would respond before anything changes.
  3. Apply or discard Keep it if you like it. If not, nothing changes.

In the loop, not in the room

Know how the week went, without hovering.

The dashboard shows you the shape of each week: streaks, minutes practised, and how often they showed up. Every Sunday evening a written report tells you what clicked and where they got stuck. And when you ask a mentor to go gentler on spelling or push harder on fractions, it follows you quietly. Your child gets a space that feels like their own, which is exactly why they keep coming back to it.

  • The week at a glance Streaks, minutes and progress for each child, on one screen.
  • Steer invisibly Your guidance is followed silently. The mentor never reveals it came from you.
  • A report every Sunday An AI written summary of what they practised and what they learnt, with eight weeks of history.

Motivation done right

Sparks reward learning, not screen time

Children earn Sparks for the right kind of effort: a correct answer, a clear explanation, a new idea understood. Just chatting does not earn them, and unkind words lose them. Sparks buy chat themes and avatars in the Shop, and steady learning moves a child up the tiers.

  1. Starter
  2. Bronze
  3. Silver
  4. Gold
  5. Platinum
  6. Diamond

Tiers rise and fall on a rolling ninety days of qualifying Sparks, the way an airline status works.

  • Earn Correct answers, explaining an idea, understanding something new.
  • Not this Chatting for the sake of it does not earn Sparks.
  • Lose Unkind words cost Sparks. Kindness is part of the deal.

The little things

Made to be used every day

  • Voice messages

Your child can talk to their mentor, not just type.

  • Photo homework help

Snap a worksheet and ask what went wrong. The mentor works through it.

  • Streaks and confetti

Small celebrations for showing up. Nothing that nags.

  • Themes and avatars

Earned with Sparks, so the child makes the chat their own.

Common questions

The things parents ask first

What ages is Mentus AI for?

It is built for children roughly four to fifteen. Onboarding asks your child's age and level so each mentor pitches at the right place. Right now the content follows the Singapore MOE syllabus, with a focus on Primary 5 and PSLE.

How much will Mentus AI cost?

We have not set pricing yet, and we would rather tell you the real number than a placeholder. While Mentus AI is in private testing it is free for the families we invite. We will share pricing clearly, before you are ever asked to pay.

When can I use it?

Mentus AI is in private testing, Singapore first. Access is by invitation from the waitlist for now, so we can look after every early family properly. Leave your email and we will invite you the moment there is room.

What about screen time?

Mentus AI is built to reward learning, not time on a screen. There is a daily message cap, so sessions stay sane. Sparks are earned for real effort like a correct answer or a clear explanation, never for just chatting, so there is nothing that pulls a child to keep scrolling.

Can I trust the answers my child gets?

Two things help here. First, the mentors are built on Claude, a frontier AI model from Anthropic, and the content is aligned to the Singapore syllabus. Second, and more importantly, a mentor tries hard not to hand over answers at all. It asks the next good question so your child reaches the answer themselves. Every Sunday you get a written summary of what was practised and where they got stuck, and you can steer any mentor gently at any time.

Is my child's data safe?

Yes, and we mean it plainly. There are no ads, ever. We do not sell your family's data. Mentus AI is built for children, not an adult chatbot in a costume. Signs of real distress are escalated to a trusted adult, and it is your data, so you can delete anything at any time.
